This community was originally started in 2006 with the name of La Cresta by Del Webb. La Cresta was to contain over 1900 homes but ran into some issues with the land developer in 2009. They halted construction and Del Webb decided to revise the number of homes to 830 and rename the community Del Webb Orlando.
